BIRTH TO PLATE LISTENING

Uncompromising musician Matthew Herbert recording a whole record using sounds from a pig’s life, from birth to plate. PETA are inevitably mad (the pig skin drum especially annoyed them,) but I think it’s actually quite a respectful way to document the reality of a pigs life, hopefully leaving people slightly less disconnected from all that bacon we eat. Or it’s just an excuse to get a bunch of great chefs to cook him a pig feast (check the line-up on the blackboard towards the end of the video.)
